From Phantom
If your IT skills are not strong at all, don't worry!
All you need to do to document your case is to write a couple of paragraphs of text explaining what happened, and the site administrators will convert it into a proper case record if you include enough information there. Follow these dead simple steps:
- Just click the tab at the top marked edit, and a text editing window will appear.
- Scroll to the bottom, and write a few paragraphs describing your case details (leave the details of other cases alone).
- Click the "Save page" button at the bottom, and you are done!!
- In a few days time, an adminsitrator will convert your text into a proper case history.
Jones case
Hi, I'm Fred Jones. This is an example story to show how the basic submission page works. Back in february I was shocked to find when I got my statement that I only had 200 pounds left in my account -- nearly 5000 pounds had been stolen. I discovered this on 5th April, and straight away phoned my bank. They told me to write a letter, so on 7th of April I wrote them a letter, listing all of the withdrawals from my account which had been made by some crook.
I am still waiting for them to refund the money. Please could you list this case, thanks a lot, Fred.
Another case
I actually watched it happen!!!,20th Dec 2008 17.18pm ,prior to making a £300 withdrawal for my rent ( a weekly habit)I checked my balance to ensure wages had been paid in. The ATM took some considerable time counting my money then the screen read that transaction could not be completed you have not been charged for this transaction. However my Reciept showed I had, as balance now £300 pounds down. Off to another ATM believing I could get my cash. Next machine read that I had exceeded my limit for that day 17.25pm. I had made no other cash withdrawals that day . On 22nd Dec 2008 am I called Halifax checking my account as balance still £300 down and as if by magic no one knew anything about it insisting that no £300 withdrawal had been made on 20th Dec 2008. Its Christmas I have made arrangements to take days off and visit my children I am being very careful with money, I am always careful with money and I do know what my balance was prior to the visit to the ATM on 20th Dec 2008. As far as I am concerned the bank took my money without trace and all I have as evidence is a reciept stating I had exceeded my limit on a day when Halifax confirmed that I had not withdrawn cash that day. I have never had large amounts of money to care for but I suspect that this could happen to people with big accounts without them even questioning it! I now have to go into the Halifax branch on Christmas eve in an attempt to sort it out, which means having to re-arrange trains and travel will keep blog informed of outcome. GR 22/12/08
